It began as "wassup 7th waaaar-day", "wassup 9th war-daaaay" and the sound evolved to "whoadie". Eventually people dropped the ward number and started saying "wardy" and "whoadie."

I was never sure what "whoadie" meant when i first heard it in the Juvenile and Hot Boyz videos way back when. I just thought it was another ghetto inaudible gruntish sound from the wordsmith Juvenile. But alas, it has meaning and depth and we're all a little more cultured from this knowledge, even though it was used 8 years ago....WHOAD DEYYYYYYY!
